FSI Home Run Derby @ Softball Island – Lakeside Park
Feb 8 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Dust off your bat and come test your power at the 1st Ever Winter Home Run Derby hosted by Fond du Lac Softball, Inc.  This should be the snowiest home run derby you’ve ever seen!  Come back for the coolest softball tournament around starting Saturday morning after the Fun Run. There will be a $1,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Road Trip will be playing afterward in a huge heated tent on Oven Island.  Open to 21+ only!  Don’t forget your ID.  Check out the Fish Fry and Lakefront Beer Specials at Lakeside Pavilion as well.

Come and join the party at Lakeside Park. Road Trip will be rocking Oven Island at Lakeside Park in our heated tent shelter and event space. Enjoy the music and dance the night away. Beer and wine coolers will be available until the party’s over.  Come to the Lakeside Park Pavilion earlier for the famous Lakeside Grill Friday Night Fish Fry, serving 4pm – 9pm (while supplies last).  Lakefront Brewery will also be offering beer specials.

Tent open to 21 years of age and older, only.  Don’t forget your ID!
Parking available in the south lot off of Harbor View Drive
Shuttles will be running from Downtown and the Children’s Museum every 1/2 hour!

Fun Run, Walk & Dog Jog
presented by Agnesian HealthCare @ Oven Island – Lakeside Park

Come and join us for a scenic run throughout Lakeside Park.  The courses will wind through Lakeside Park and tour Oven Island & Softball Island. Early registration is $10 per person and includes a Sturgeon Spectacular long-sleeve T-shirt.  Late registration (after January 14th) will not include a Sturgeon Spectacular long-sleeve T-shirt.  Agnesian HealthCare is a member of SSM Health.

Online registration available now through Hometown Tickets.  You can also purchase tickets in-person at the Destination Lake Winnebago Region Visitor Center at 23 S. Main Street.

Winter Softball Classic presented by FSI @ Softball Island – Lakeside Park

Come participate in the coolest softball tournament around because we’re playing in the snow.  Fond du Lac Softball, Inc. will be hosting the 2nd Annual Winter Softball Classic coed softball tournament.  Play for the trophy and stay for the fun!  $50 entry per team and there will be a $1,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Bring the kids as there will be lots of family-friendly activities in the park.

Snow-ga presented by FDL Center for Spirituality & Healing @ Oven Island – Lakeside Park

Presented by the Fond du Lac Center for Spirituality and Healing, a certified Yoga instructor will lead you through breathing exercises and yoga poses at beautiful Lakeside Park.  Clear your head and stretch before your run, race or before your game gets started.  No charge.  Open to all.  No charge!

Yoga can be moved to the heated tent, if necessary.

Lakeside Park Winter Fun Zone @ Oven Island – Lakeside Park

Bring the whole family out to Lakeside Park to participate in our Winter Fun Zone.  Activities/attractions include the biggest snowman in Fond du Lac, Photo Ops,  Build the Best Snowman Competition, A snowball target range, and many more winter activities for the kids.

Come meet the sled dogs of the Siberian Outpost sled dogs and sign up for a free dog sled ride through Lakeside Park.  The kids will love it!

Spearing and Beering

Come check out the Sturgeon Show-off Station, Spearing Exhibit, Family Photo Ops, and the rest of the party on the edge of the Lake.  Concessions will be offered by the Lakefront Curd Wagon.  Lakefront Brewery, the official beer sponsors of Sturgeon Spectacular will be doing a Special Tapping of a spicy chocolate stout starting at noon – while supplies last!  Spear the Beer Commemorative Mugs will also be available – while supplies last.  You can register for the Cornhole Tournament by 1pm as well.

All sturgeon brought to Show-off Station will be entered into a $500 drawing, as long as it meets the legal limit.  The largest sturgeon brought to Lakeside Park will win the 2019 Biggest Sturgeon Award and a $100 cash prize.

NOTE:  This is not an official weigh-in station.  You must register your sturgeon first to qualify.
96-1 The Rock will be doing a Live Remote from 11am – 1pm.
Cornhole Tournament starts at 2pm (Onsite registration 1 – 2pm)
Biggest Sturgeon Award and $500 Drawing at 4:00 pm.

Spear the Fatty Fat Bike Race
presented by Attitude Sports & Open Road Harley Davidson @ Lakeside Park Pavilion
Feb 9 @ 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm

Racers of all levels will race through Lakeside Park and frozen Lake Winnebago.  You can look forward to changes in terrain, new obstacles, an ice-covered sprint for the finish, and so much more at this year’s Spear the Fatty Race presented by DuTriRun.  Registered racers will receive a finisher’s medal, goody bag, Spear the Beer Mug with one free beer, and food.

A variety of concessions will be offered by the Curd Wagon and beer specials from Lakefront Brewery.

Outdoor Hockey Alumni Classic presented by Drexel Building Supply @ Outdoor Rink at Lakeside Park

Fond du Lac High School/LP Goodrich Alumni face off against Saint Mary’s Springs Alumni for the 2nd Annual Outdoor Hockey Alumni Classic as part of the Sturgeon Spectacular.  Alumni from both schools test their skills under the lights on an outdoor rink at Lakeside Park.  Come out and cheer for your team!

If you’re a hockey alumni of the Saint Mary’s Springs Ledgers or Fond du Lac Cardinals and interested in participating, please contact Pete Wilke at 920-923-3010.  Registration deadline is Monday, January 14th, so don’t delay!

Come and celebrate a successful first day of sturgeon spearing with all your friends and family.  Boogie & The Yo-Yo’z will be rocking Oven Island at Lakeside Park in our heated tent shelter and event space. Enjoy the music and watch the 2019 Sturgeon Queen be named.   Beer and wine coolers will be available until the party’s over.  Concessions & ATM Services will also be available from Downtown Deli inside the big heated tent.  Lakefront Brewery will also be offering beer specials.
